What does a photo metadata remover change?

Photo metadata remover: EXIF and GPS checks
The photo metadata remover looks for common container markers before export: EXIF or other APP1 data in JPEG, IPTC and comments, text or EXIF chunks in PNG, and EXIF or XMP chunks in WebP. A marker tells you that a metadata container exists. It does not prove that the container contains GPS coordinates or identify every private field inside it.

Hidden timestamps and visible date stamps are different
A photo metadata remover can discard an embedded capture timestamp without altering a date visibly printed in orange letters on a holiday picture. That printed text is part of the image pixels. If you can see the date in the preview, it will also be visible after this export. Removing it requires selecting and repairing that area with a different tool.
